Nissan’s long-term partnership with Habitat for Humanity has been officially renewed, and on behalf of the continued venture, the automaker is presenting a $1 million grant to the organization. The newly offered funds will go to helping build more affordable homes for those in need, carrying out the non-profit’s mission.

Nissan’s newest safety system “Driver Attention Alert” will debut this month in the newly redesigned 2016 Maxima. The system is an audible and visual warning alert mechanism created to help detect whether drivers are too sleepy to be behind the wheel.

Nissan launched a new safety campaign last month with Maroon 5 front man, Adam Levine. Nissan and Levine are partnering to bring awareness to the alarming statistic that have just come out the U.S. Department of Transportation on automotive accidents that involve cell phones. In order to combat this growing trend, Nissan has launched its first "Red Thumb Day" campaign. This ad campaign focuses on a particular day when people are encouraged to mark their thumb with red tape as a reminder not to text and drive. 

Luke Aker was just trying to sell his car when he got the surprise of a lifetime. After posting an ad on Craiglist, along with a nifty video of the Maxima, Aker was astonished to see that the automaker itself was interested in taking the car off Aker's hands. Nissan then restored the Maxima to all its mid-nineties glory.

The Nissan Altima has been the Japanese automaker's top-selling model for the past few years. With its gorgeous body frame, lush interior and supreme utility, Arizona drivers have consistently chosen the 2014 Nissan Altima in Phoenix as their top family sedan.

Over the past nine years Nissan has worked with the amazing folks at Habitat for Humanity by helping the non-profit organization fund and build beautiful homes for those in need.

Since that time, Nissan has donated over $10 million dollars to Habitat for Humanity, and they're not done yet, as the automaker just announced that they will be donating another $1.6 million to the organization.
