The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has just announced that the 2015 Nissan Sentra has earned their coveted Top Safety Pick award. These awards are given to cars who go above and beyond in safety and earn their highest ratings. The 2015 Sentra earned the Institute’s top rating of “Good” in all five of the IIHS’ crash tests.

Nissan is promoting their bestselling electric Leaf in a fun new way this month. Looking to start digging deeper into the European market, Nissan has painted on of their Leafs with a specially made glow in the dark paint.

In a new teaser video, Nissan is teasing their newest generation of the Nissan Titan. Coming out next year, the 2016 Nissan Titan is said to have a new Cummins 5.0-liter V8 diesel engine. The new engine is rumored to rate at over 300 horsepower and 550 lb.-ft. of torque. The video also provides a small glimpse at the Titan's body frame.

Nissan recently announced a significant increase in bumper-to-bumper and powertrain limited warranty coverage on its light commercial vehicles, including the NV Cargo Van, NV Passenger Van and the NV200 Compact Cargo, to take affect retro-actively and covering the 2014 model year. Taking on the competition in a big way, this new class-leading warranty coverage outstrips Ford, Ram and Mercedes-Benz on both time and mileage in overall coverage, while only Ford approaches, but still falls short of Nissan's new powertrain coverage.
