The Nissan 370Z has always been a distinctive sports car. This year, Nissan pulls out all the stops by making its 370Z more alluring and exceptional than ever before. The change comes in part from a desire to satisfy consumers' demands for the latest and greatest. However, 2020 also marks the 50th anniversary of the 370Z, which is one of Nissan's most iconic sports cars and one of its most popular vehicles in production. The 370Z this year features a throwback design, via a special anniversary edition, with a two-tone color scheme reminiscent of sports cars from the '70s. Furthermore, 370Z fans have a choice of two color schemes. Embroidered seats, chrome accents, and a custom steering wheel are part of the 370Z's offerings. The sports car also has a standard Bose sound system. Power and handling remain carried over unchanged, but you have a choice of standard or manual transmission.
There are five trim levels of the 2020 370Z. The base trim (called the Base) has a six-speed manual transmission. It also has a standard backup camera, high-intensity discharge headlights, and 18-inch wheels. Automatic climate control, power-operated doors and windows, a push-button start, and dual 12V power outlets are other highlights of the base. The Sport trim has more leather throughout the interior. Noise cancellation, a premium sound system, and sound enhancement are other highlights. The special anniversary editions have heated seats, leather seats, and suede door panel inserts. You also have a choice of a manual or automatic transmission. Two eye-catching color schemes are available at this trim level. The Sport Touring also has two transmission options. Leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are standard in this trim level too. The infotainment system gets navigation, satellite radio, and Bluetooth streaming audio. The Nismo, which is the top trim, gets 19-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension system, large stabilizer bars, and overall more aerodynamic design with unique fascias and a distinctive rear spoiler.
The 2020 Nissan 370Z has the same engine as last year. This engine, which is identical on all trim levels, is a 3.7L V6. It has a peak power output of 332 HP at 7,000 RPM. It also generates up to 270 LB-FT of torque at 5,200 RPM. The base trims come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, while a seven-speed automatic transmission is available on select trims. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the board.
A variety of passive and active safety features keep you safe in the 370Z. This includes dual-stage airbags for the front passenger and driver. Side-impact airbags add additional protection for occupants. The body of the 370Z is designed to withstand significant impact with front and rear crumple zones. Guard beams fortify the side door area. Voice recognition and a speed-sensitive volume control make the infotainment system safer and easier to use, too.
