Nissan LEAF Honored with ‘Tried & Tested’ Recommendation from Good Housekeeping Research Institute

The November issue of Good Housekeeping's buyer's guide has just been released, and in the issue the GHI has named the 2014 Nissan LEAF SL as the Institute's top "roomy electric" car recommendation. The LEAF was among eight other vehicles, who were awarded the "Tried & Tested" recommendation from the GHI based upon their street performance, track performance, ergonomics and tech features.

Nissan Donates $1.6 Million to Habitat for Humanity

Over the past nine years Nissan has worked with the amazing folks at Habitat for Humanity by helping the non-profit organization fund and build beautiful homes for those in need.

Since that time, Nissan has donated over $10 million dollars to Habitat for Humanity, and they're not done yet, as the automaker just announced that they will be donating another $1.6 million to the organization.

Study after study has concluded that one of the best ways to reduce fuel emissions and increase fuel economy is to reduce the weight of automobiles by at least 15 percent.
