The November issue of Good Housekeeping's buyer's guide has just been released, and in the issue the GHI has named the 2014 Nissan LEAF SL as the Institute's top "roomy electric" car recommendation. The LEAF was among eight other vehicles, who were awarded the "Tried & Tested" recommendation from the GHI based upon their street performance, track performance, ergonomics and tech features.

The "Tried & Tested" moniker is Good Housekeeping's top honor, which comes after they test "hundreds of products" in order to help consumers choose the right one. And the LEAF has been named as the right product for those looking for an "impressive cruising range, value enhanced by available federal and state tax incentives and segment-exclusive Around View Monitor, [which is] great for parking or backing out."

According to a Nissan press release, the LEAF has now sold over 142,000 units globally since its launch in 2010, and is the world's bestselling all-electric car. Powered by a lithium-ion battery and an 80kW engine, the LEAF not only provides excellent savings at the fuel pump, but also provides a powerful and spunky driving experience that is unmatched by others in its class.

Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S. said, "But the real beauty of the Nissan LEAF is that it's roomy and, best of all, fun to drive, which is why it received this honor from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute."

The 2014 LEAF as well as the new 2015 Nissan LEAF are available in Phoenix so stop by Midway Nissan today and see for yourself why Good Housekeeping thinks this is the best electric car you could buy.
