How Often Does Nissan Recommend an Oil Change?

Cars operate their best when the oil is changed every 5,000 to 10,000 miles or every six months, depending on the type of oil used. The oil change can be extended to every 7,500 to 10,000 miles if the vehicle takes synthetic oil. It's important to also read the owner's manual for the specific model of the car to determine the exact recommendations by the manufacturer.

When Should I Replace My Tires?

The tires on your car should be replaced every three to four years, but this number can change depending on how often you use the vehicle. It's time to change the tires when there's approximately 4/32" of remaining tread left. Here's a tip on how you can check your tire tread. Use the penny test as general guide (if Abe Lincoln head and hair are fully visible then we'd recommend to replace tires).

Do I Have to Pay For a Recall?

If you're notified that there's been a recall on your car then you don't have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. The manufacturer is typically responsible for covering the cost of the repairs if you receive a letter in the mail or an email explaining what needs to be fixed. You'll need to schedule an appointment at our dealership as soon as possible and avoid waiting too long, which can prevent the manufacturer from covering the cost. We also recommend bringing in your recall letter or email to your appointment.

Can I Service a Vehicle With Midway Nissan Even if I Didn't Buy Here?

Our service department specializes in performing maintenance and repairs on Nissan models that were purchased at our dealership, but can also work on other makes and models of vehicles that were not sold at our location due to our team's high level of expertise and training.

Do I Need an Appointment, or Can I Just Show Up?

We encourage you to schedule an appointment so we can keep all of our clients moving in and out of the dealership at an efficient pace. If you need service immediately and are in the area, stop by our dealership anytime. Our service hours are open 7AM to 6PM from Monday through Saturday and 7AM to 4PM on Sundays.
