What's New For the 2022 Nissan LEAF?
In 2022, the Nissan LEAF will get a few notable updates and improvements. While most vehicles rise in price over time, the Nissan LEAF takes the opposite approach and a lower starting price for the 2022 model year. The Leave also comes with a standard Level 3 charging port to stay plugged in and powered on the road. Along with the general updates that affect the LEAF lineup, the Nissan LEAF also changes to specific trims, including the SV Plus trim that now has the Technology package as a standard feature.
2022 LEAF Trims & Features
There are two models produced in the Nissan LEAF. The first is the LEAF, and the second is the LEAF Plus. The two are distinguished mostly by their battery. The LEAF uses a 40 kWh battery, and the LEAF Plus has a battery with a 62 kWh capacity. The larger battery gives the Nissan LEAF Plus more range and power. The Nissan LEAF also adds some additional conveniences to the list of standard features provided at the base trim level. You'll also get more safety aids with the LEAF Plus, including the ProPilot Assist package of safety aids and a Bose sound system. Both the LEAF and the LEAF Plus have a comfortable ride and seating for five. Automatic climate control is included on both trims, and they have a driver's seat that is adjustable by height. There are four total USB charge ports on the base LEAF called the S. A fast-charging port is standard, and you'll get a keyless entry system. Push-button start is standard with the S. The SV brings more features to the lineup, including alloy wheels, fog lights, and navigation. Heated front seats are standard as well. The LEAF Plus has a third trim level not offered on the regular LEAF. This trim, which is called the SL, has leather seats, a Bose audio system, and a cargo cover.
