Since 2007, the Versa has been marketed as a subcompact vehicle from Nissan in the North American market. The 2020 model year marks the beginning of the nameplate's third production cycle. The four-door sedan now looks more aggressive, has a more powerful engine, and provides more safety features than ever before.
The 2020 Nissan Versa is a two-row vehicle that can seat up to five people. It is available in S, SV, and SR trims. As the base-level trim, the S provides standard features such as cloth upholstery, front seating that consists of a 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat and a 4-way manually adjustable front passenger seat, remote keyless entry with push-button engine start, a center-placed display screen to reduce driving distractions (Advanced Drive-Assist Display), Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, Siri Eyes Free for virtual assistance, a four-speaker stereo system with AM/FM radio, voice recognition technology, hands-free text messaging ability, three USB ports and an auxiliary audio jack for hooking up mobile devices, and a 7-inch touchscreen.
At the SV trim level, Nissan introduces premium cloth seat trim, split-folding ability on the rear seats to maximize cargo space, a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio, and NissanConnect infotainment integration. Unique to the SR are a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport-style cloth seat trim, automatic climate control, smart keyless entry (which is an upgrade of remote keyless entry), remote engine start, and a six-speaker stereo system (instead of four).
Powering the 2020 Versa is a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, which is tied to continuously variable transmission for smooth driving experience and improved fuel efficiency. The engine itself produces 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. These kinds of specifications don't become apparent unless you get behind the wheel.
