What's New For the 2019 Nissan Armada?

If you're looking for a large SUV that handles all your needs, the 2019 Nissan Armada is a safe bet. This SUV has three rows of seats that seat up to eight passengers. But don't call it a bus! The latest Armada is equipped with a powerful V8 engine designed to tow over 8,000 pounds. With its chrome accents, large wheels, rounded contour, and signature badges, the Armada is as elegant as an SUV gets. You'll have no problem taking this stunning vehicle shopping downtown during the day, then using it on the ranch or taking it on off-road expeditions on weekends and nights.

This year, there are four distinct but equally appealing trim levels of the Armada to choose from. They give you an option of either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive to give you the most comfortable driving experience possible. No matter which trim level you choose, you'll have the choice of adding on more amenities and packages to create a custom ride. What's perhaps most appealing of all about the newest Armada is that it offers more value than just about any SUV in its class.

A Good Variety of Trims are Available

There are four trim levels available in the 2019 Nissan Armada. The base level is called the SV. This trim level comes standard with a number of generous amenities. For starters, the exterior is accented with head-turning 18-inch wheels. This Armada features roof rails, a rear spoiler, and LED lights.

While you normally have to pay more or upgrade to a higher trim level to get a better infotainment system, an easy-to-read eight-inch touchscreen is standard across the board. For additional convenience, the touchscreen comes with a built-in navigation system.

The infotainment system features voice recognition so that you can safely use the audio and navigation functions without taking your eyes off the road. Next in line is the SL. This Armada has wheels that are two inches larger. It also has more features designed for practicality and convenience, such as remote entry and a hands-free liftgate.

Inside, this trim level is more sophisticated and luxurious with the addition of a panoramic backup mirror and leather seats. The third-highest trim level is the Platinum. This trim level is even more impressive with heated and cooled (leather) seats, a three-row entertainment system, and premium 20-inch wheels. The Platinum Reserve gets two-tone leather seats, wood trim accents on the inside, and 20-inch chrome wheels.

Strong Performance Onboard

This engine is enough to take the Armada easily through your morning and evening commutes, as well as comfortably tow your heaviest loads. The V8 engine on the Armada has a 5.6L capacity. It has 32 valves and produces roughly 390 HP at 5,800 RPM. It can also churn out up to 394 LB-FT of torque at 4,000 RPM. Two-wheel drive is standard on the two lowest level trims, while four-wheel drive is standard on the others.

Is the 2019 Armada Safe?

2019 Nissan Armada Exterior RearFrom its crumple zones to advanced airbag technology and array of driver-assist amenities, the 2019 Armada proves that in addition to being an attractive and powerful car, it is also quite safe. The hood and cabin area are both specially designed to deflect energy in case of an impact. On the inside, a combination of front and side airbags protect the front seat occupants in case of a crash. In the back, passengers are protected by side and overhead airbags. Modern driver-assist safety aids in the Armada include forward collision warning, blind spot warning, and an intuitive backup system that warns of any obstacles in your path of reverse travel. In the back, a LATCH child seat locking system protects the youngest travelers.
