What's New for the 2018 Nissan Sentra?

Nissan has equipped the 2018 with many new upgrades and improvements from its previous model year. With the exception of manual transmission models and the Nismo, all Sentra trim levels will feature Automatic Emergency Braking. The S trim model features the RearView Monitor complete with a 5" color display standard. Bluetooth and Siri Eyes-Free technology will also be standard in the S trim level. All trim levels above the SV level will have standard Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, while the SV level alone will feature 16" aluminum alloy wheels standard. Finally, the SL trim level will have a standard Bose Premium Audio System.

2018 Sentra Trims and Features

Nissan is offering the 2018 Sentra in several trim levels: S, SV, SL, and SR. The SR trim level also features Turbo, Midnight Edition, and Turbo Midnight Edition choices. The S trim offers automatic headlights, dual power outside mirrors, and an optional rear spoiler. The SV can have the Nissan Navigation, NissanConnect and Nissan Voice Recognition as optional equipment. However those features come standard in the SL. The SR trim level offers a variety of special packages of options. The SR Premium Package, which is optional on most of the SR trims, features SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, a Bose Premium audio system, NissanConnect and leather seats. The Midnight Package offers a variety of exclusive exterior features like black power heated mirrors, black V-grille, and black fog light trim as well as 17" alloy wheels and special Midnight Edition badging.

2018 Nissan Sentra ExteriorThe Nissan Sentra offers a variety of different power levels. The S trim is equipped with a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that produces 130 hp. The SV and SL trims offer a similar engine that creates 124 hp. The SR and SR Midnight trims also use the 124 hp engine while the SR Midnight Turbo takes advantage of a 1.6L, 188 hp engine. All of the models get 37 mpg highway and between 27-29 mpg city.

2018 Nissan Sentra RearThe Sentra comes with many different safety features. Driver and passenger front and side impact airbags, roof-mounted air bags, and Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control all comes standard on all trim levels. The SV and SL trims have Automatic Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems standard, while the SL trim has a Blind Spot Warning System. The Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert system comes optional for all the SR trim levels. All trims also feature certain structural safety features like hood-buckling creases, and energy absorbing steering column, and pipe-style steel side-door guard beams to help absorb the energy generated from a crash.
