What's New for the 2018 Nissan Frontier?

After you take a closer look at the exciting changes that Nissan has made to the 2018 Frontier, you may decide that this is the mid-size truck that you want to buy soon. While the 2017 model had exceptional style and great features, Nissan has taken the Frontier to a new level this year. On the exterior, you will notice that larger side mirrors, re-shaped headlights, additional chrome accents and a powerful new grille alter the look with exceptional results. The 2018 model also has received improved safety ratings in comparison to the 2017 Frontier. Additional updates include more cargo space and a new rear view camera that is now a standard feature for all trim levels.

Many Unique Options

Before you can take your new 2018 Frontier home, you need to decide which trim level and cab configuration that you want to buy. Altogether, there are 17 unique options available to choose from. The variations are based on either a 4x2 or a 4x4 option as well as your preference for a single, crew or king cab design. Trim levels that you can choose from for 2018 include S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro and SL. After you narrow down the options based on these factors, you will need to decide which of the four interior colors and eight exterior colors you prefer for your new Frontier. You will notice that all trims are well-equipped with an excellent selection of standard equipment. Just a few of the many standard features in the Frontier for 2018 include reclining passenger seating for the front and back rows, front bucket seats, carpeted floor mats, a day-night rearview mirror, cup holders, USB ports, power outlets, illuminated vanity mirrors, cruise and audio functions on the steering wheel, four speakers for the voice-activated sound system, a CD player, hands-free wireless connectivity, a color LCD screen with navigation capabilities and more.

Superior Power

While the Frontier is a mid-size truck, it has superior power that may remind you of a larger vehicle. Notably, the base engine delivers 152 horsepower and 171 ft.-pounds of torque. Some features include a five-speed transmission with overdrive, a variable intake manifold, a sequential multi-point fuel intake, a variable valve control and a single stainless-steel exhaust feature. Upgraded engines are also available for the 2018 Frontier.
