A Slew of Trim Selections

Whether you are looking for a simple car to get from here to there or you want all the tech and comfort features available, there is sure to be a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Phoenix perfect for you. Available in S, SV, SR, SR Turbo, NISMO and SL, there are plenty of models to choose from.

Base features start with remote keyless entry, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, a USB port and Bluetooth phone connectivity, while an upgrade to the popular SV trim adds keyless ignition, Bluetooth audio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 5-inch touchscreen radio and NissanConnect smartphone apps. For more athletic features, the SR and SR Turbo show off with a rear spoiler, sport body kit and upgraded upholstery. NISMO also adds sporty appointments like red-and-black sport seats and faux carbon fiber accents. For all the bells and whistles, the SL features comfortable leather seating, navigation, voice controls and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Engine & Performance Updates

The all-new Sentra SR Turbo and NISMO get their own exclusive powertrain: a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Rated at 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, buyers have the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or a performance-oriented CVT with manual driving mode. Both models also feature additional enhancements, including a sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes and active understeer control (SR Turbo) and a NISMO-tuned suspension, stiffer chassis and performance tires (NISMO).

All other models of the 2017 Nissan Sentra in Phoenix are equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that makes a solid 130 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed manual on S models and a CVT on SV, SR and SL models. Fuel economy estimates start at 32 mpg combined on 1.8-liter CVT models.

Available Active Safety

With standard safety equipment like front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, stability control and antilock brakes, the Sentra is a safe choice for Valley drivers. Starting on the SV trim, the Sentra adds a rearview backup camera to its list of features. For added precaution on the road, 2017 Nissan Sentra reviews suggest opting for the available driver-assist technologies, which include adaptive cruise control with forward emergency braking, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
