National Donut Day was earlier this month, June 3 to be exact, and in celebration of the day Nissan decided to test out a little donut-making experiment. Now, typically, a Nissan 370Z NISMO and donuts would have absolutely nothing common, but the automaker found a way to pair up the two in a truly unique way.

Nissan teamed up with Formula Drift superstar Chris Forsberg at a production set in California to perform their donut-making stunt. The goal was for Forsberg to use a 370Z NISMO to launch sprinkles on top of more than 300 donuts. Two pallets of sprinkles weighing over 2,800 pounds were brought in and scattered across the floor for the feat. It took 15 passes, but Forsberg was able to properly drift the 370Z NIMSO through the sprinkles and wound up coating 325 donuts with the vibrant, colored garnishes.
If you haven’t already, take a look at the video above to see the entire experiment for yourself. With 120 boxes of sprinkles used to decorate the donuts, you’ll notice that there was no shortage of toppings on set and plenty of smiles to go around.
Boasting 350 horsepower, the Nissan 370Z NISMO used in the stunt is one remarkable sports car and you can find it now at Midway Nissan.
